Overview
English Classes
This program is designed to increase the language and literacy of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) students from refugee and migrant backgrounds, to help pathway into accredited English language programs The course also supports learners who are already enrolled in accredited English courses and require additional student support. The focus is on the everyday use of English language to help in the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Delivery
Course Structure
The program is designed for learners from culturally diverse backgrounds. This includes adult migrants, refugees, skilled migrants or refugees with disabilities or learning difficulties.
This program can support learners undertaking accredited English language classes who would benefit from a more informal conversational English class. There are no formal assessments and the lessons are interactive and activity based. There may be some excursion to assist learners to navigate their local communities.
