BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.

They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

Successful completion of this qualification may lead to opportunities such as Leading Hand, Sales Team Coordinator, Team Leader.

Course Structure

This course if offered on a part-time basis so that you can continue to work while you study. The course includes a classroom component, an off-campus study component and significant workplace components.

Assessment is based on competency, which is the ability to demonstrate specific skills and will involve a combination of assessment methods. These assessments can be written assignments, discussions, interviews, workplace projects and practical demonstrations.

Foundation Skills Assessment

Although there are no entry requirements for the qualification, applicants will be assessed for suitability by using the Foundation Skills Assessment. This will help us to identify any potential barriers or help us determine whether you require extra support for your studies.

The Foundation Skills Assessment will focus on English language, literacy and numeracy skills as well as employability skills.

Additional Information

Induction before you start the course

You will be given a formal induction at the beginning of your course. Important details are further communicated in the Learner Handbook.

There is a formal induction checklist that you will be taken through and at the end of induction you will be asked to sign the checklist to verify that you understand the details, including competency based assessment and reasonable adjustment, assessment methods, due dates and delivery requirements, surveys and the complaints/appeals process.

Alongside this there are also worksite inductions conducted if you are participating in placement as part of your training.

Issuing Certificates

On successful completion, participants will be awarded BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. For unit completion only, a Statement of Attainment will be awarded.

Materials Required

Diversitat Training will provide all course information and resources; however, participants are required to provide their own work folders, pens etc. A materials/resources fee may be charged for course materials such as resources, handouts and text materials. Additional expenses/levies may be required for some courses to cover extra course expenses such as tools of trade, equipment, excursions etc. You will be advised if these expenses apply to your studies prior to enrolment.
